Any regular reader of this blog knows that we can’t get enough of San Giorgio Mykonos and its neighboring sister property, Scorpios, a modern-day agora boasting one of the island’s best cultural programs. But this season, San Giorgio and Scorpios, which are situated in walking distance along one of the most scenic stretches of the island’s coast, have added a phenomenal new collaborative program: Inner Gardens. Set at San Giorgio, Inner Gardens explores mind-body wisdom, creative expression, and positive transformation through a series of workshops, talks, and movement and meditation classes run by a collaborative community of various disciplines.
“Quiet the mind, and the soul will speak.”Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati
In a series of intimately curated gatherings that are free to guests of San Giorgio or Scorpios, experts give instruction and guidance in practices such as Qi Gong and yoga, the wisdom guarded by ancient mystery schools, the latest neuroscientific findings on mindfulness practice, and how to generate healing energy through our innate orgasmic potentials.
From elemental embodiment and Esalen bodywork to plant medicine, Tarot readings, sound baths, and storytelling workshops built around Joseph Campbell’s seminal work, “A Hero’s Journey,” Inner Gardens weaves together a diverse tapestry of shamanic tradition and mind-body practices that can be customized and tailored to fit a personalized set of goals and interests.
